Youth Red Cross Society
The Indian Red Cross Society is a voluntary humanitarian organization, established by an act of the Indian Legislature in 1920 having on its rolls the states, the union territories, the districts and the sub district branches. It’s activities are being directed forwarded for providing relief in times of disasters/emergencies, prevention of diseases, improvement of health and mitigation of suffering. The Indian Red Cross Society realized the importance of the youth way back in 1925 and established Junior Red Cross (JRC) in schools and Youth Red Cross (YRC) in colleges.
Each generation passes on the torch of development to the next. Hence it becomes the challenge for the present generation to gloom the future of tomorrow and that is “Youth”. The hope of every nation in the world is it’s young people. We, in our institution prepare our students to be caring citizens, so that they have an opportunity to touch the lives of the needy and the helpless. We try to make a difference in our students through YRC.
Vision:
To be the most effective and trusted institution in this rural area to improve the lives of needy with humanitarian concern and thereby making a man whole by providing service wholeheartedly.
Mission :
To perform a critical role in motivating the students for blood donation and also to inspire, encourage and initiate at all times all forms of social activities so that human sufferings are minimized,allivated and even prevented.
Objectives :
To inform the members of UTC and others the role and responsibilities of Red Cross and encourage them to contribute.
To create awareness on the care of their own health and that of others.
To understand and accept civic responsibilities and act accordingly with humanitarian concern and to full the same.
To enable the growth and development of a spirit of service and sense of duty with dedication and devotion in the minds of youth.
To provide better friendly relationship with all without any discrimination.
To offer First Aid Training to all the students.
To encourage the students to extend their humanitarian services to the society.
